I'm a believer in old wisdoms, especially the idea that we grow into our names. Mine certainly guided me to where I am today.
MY PURPOSE RESULTS FROM
INTERSECTING WHAT I LOVE,
WHAT I'M GOOD AT
AND WHAT THE WORLD NEEDS,
WHICH LED ME TO YOU.
Hi, I'm Oosu.
In Korean, my name "Oosu" carries multiple meanings:
to help and to guard (佑守),
to be excellent (優秀),
and to feel deeply (憂愁).
These meanings reflect how I approach design — with purpose, excellency, and empathy.
With a background in data analysis, frontend development, and entrepreneurship, I create elegant, human-centered digital experiences that balance aesthetics with usability, while always keeping the bigger picture in sight.

MY VALUES
EMPATHY OVER AESTHETICS
Design is not just about how things look – it's about how they work and how they feel.
BIG-PICTURE THINKING
From system logic to final pixels, I strive to understand the full design ecosystem.
CONTINUOUS GROWTH
I learn fast, try often, and embrace feedback as fuel for growth.
DESIGN WITH CONVICTION
I put users first and solve actual problems, not just make things pretty.

Name-Guided Path
Certified Sensory Player
I'm certified in candle-making, perfumery, and as a wine sommelier— all disciplines focused on crafting sensory experiences. I bring this same multi-sensory approach to designing digital products.
Piano Precision Mindset
My parents once got rid of my piano so I wouldn't become a pianist. Despite their efforts, that early training in precision and obsession with detail now fundamentally shapes my design process.
Holistic Experience Design
I used to run a wine bar where I designed everything: the branding, the service flow, and the sensory atmosphere. It taught me that great design isn't just visual—it's a holistic, immersive experience.
Curiosity-Driven Journey
My career has moved across fashion, data, wine, and now design, a journey driven purely by curiosity. The common thread has always been understanding people and crafting better experiences for them.
Resilient Creative Journey
I was once bullied after ranking #1 in art class. That pushed me away from a creative path for a while. But the detour gave me broader life experience, making me a more resilient designer today. So, no hard feelings.
